Knockout Obesity has developed and continues to refine a plan for securing revenue, resources, strategic partnerships, and visibility to advance its mission and ensure its sustainability for years to come. The plan includes the following key components:
  • Revenue: Knockout Obesity will meet the needs of its operating budget through ongoing solicitation of major gifts, corporate and foundation grants, and sponsorships, as well as through an annual “Obesity Walk”. The six-member Board of Directors is committed to 100% annual giving and developing diverse revenue streams to provide financial resiliency and flexibility.
  • Resources: Knockout Obesity will control expenses by seeking in-kind donations of boxing training equipment and other key program supplies.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Knockout Obesity will partner with like-minded community-based organizations, who provide the program space and participants, and professional boxing trainers and nutritionists, who provide expert fitness and nutrition instruction.
  • Visibility: Knockout Obesity will communicate its message through its online and social media channels, as well as through corporate partnerships and traditional media channels.
